WaterPN Berlin-Brandenburg offers its partners among the small and mid-sized enterprises a platform for information and communication and arranges contacts both within the network and network-overlapping. It initiates and encourages research and development and supports the entry to new markets.

WaterPN Berlin-Brandenburg is a project of the Servicegesellschaft WaterPN UG (haftungsbeschränkt) and is embedded in the structures and research activities of the Berlin Centre of Competence for Water (Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin gGmbH) .

WaterPN Berlin-Brandenburg takes an active part in the dialogue with institutions from administration, politics, and research.

The City of Berlin, through the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Women's Issues, promotes the network by means of the (joint task) program "Improvement of Regional Economic Structure".
